Alissa A. Genthon, MD
Experience
Dr. Genthon currently practices as an emergency and critical care physician. Previously she served as an attending physician at Brigham and Women's Hospital and as an instructor at Harvard Medical School. She completed her training at the Harvard combined program in Emergency Medicine at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA.
She is a graduate of University of Texas Southwestern Medical School as well as Northwestern University.
Certificates
She currently holds two board certifications in Emergency Medicine as well as Internal Medicine-Critical Care Medicine. She is also a professor of Point-of-Care Ultrasound as an emerging clinical tool.
Specialization
Dr. Genthon specializes in the acute presentation of illness and its aftermath. As part of her practice, she often must consider factors that lead up to a hospitalization as well as what follows a hospitalization. She has experience with clients of all ages with a wide range of clinical issues including primary care and surgical issues.
Beyond her clinical duties, she has a special interest in global medicine and has previously spent time in Uganda and Rwanda teaching ultrasound as part of a "train the trainers" program.
